PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical quantity sensor device outputting data to an information processor without reference to communication protocol concerned with communication flow control, and also to provide an inspecting device therefor.;SOLUTION: A sensor unit 20 switches a communication means for an ECU etc., connected to an on-vehicle LAN 100 etc., from a CAN transmission mode by a CAN controller 24d and a CAN transceiver 26 to a serial transmission mode by a UART unit 24e by a CPU 24a to enable transmission (unidirectional communication) of at least, for example, serial data to the ECU etc., by the UART unit 24e by using the physical layer of the CAN transceiver 26. Consequently, the UART unit 24e communicates with the ECU etc., based upon specifications of the physical layer without reference to the data link layer of the OSI basic reference model.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
