The robot includes two sets of electromagnets incorporated in horizontal and vertical arrangement and alternatively mounted on chains with the use of supports. The chains of electromagnets enable the simultaneous activation and movement of the robot according to operator's preference. The robot can be vertically moved while carrying sprayers containing cleaning liquids and cleaning rollers. The sprayers and cleaning rollers are arranged to clean and dry a metallic surface. The robot also includes levers driven by the electromagnets.
