Self-propelled bottom cleaning device i.e. robotic vacuum cleaner, for cleaning dust in e.g. corner of floor, has sensor detecting angle of nozzles, where signals from sensor are transmitted to control device to control movement of device
The device i.e. robotic vacuum cleaner (1), has a housing (5) and two pivotable cleaning nozzles (6) that are independently positioned about a pivot axis between a base position and an extended position. The cleaning nozzles include a sensor for detecting a pivoting angle of the nozzles when the nozzles are in a contact with obstructions. Signals from the sensor are transmitted to the control device and evaluated for controlling movement of the device. The nozzles are formed in an arc shape. A protective element i.e. net, is arranged in clamping regions of the cleaning nozzles. The nozzles are provided with the front surfaces, which are provided with a coating material made from a soft plastic material or a non-woven material. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a self-propelled bottom cleaning device for automated cleaning of surfaces.
