A hydraulic system has first and second functions, in which separate control valves the fluid flow between the actuators and both a supply line as well as a return line rules. The second function is connected with a load detection channel. When the pressure in the load detection channel exceeds a predetermined level, then opens a anti - stall - valve a limited path between the supply line and the return line. A fluid flow by means of this restricted way reduces the probability that a primary drive, which drives the pump of the hydraulic system, may stall. If only the first function is active, then closes the anti - stall - valve and impairs the supply of fluid to this function is not.
