PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide device that facilitates positioning operation of a light guide rod highly accurately and that makes the light guide rod hardly receiving damage, and also to provide an ultraviolet irradiation apparatus equipped with this device.;SOLUTION: The light guide device LG includes: a cylindrical lens barrel T having an engaging projection P and a thread groove S formed on the inner peripheral face on the other end; a ring screw RS screwed onto the thread groove; a light guide rod GR housed inside the lens barrel in the manner that one end passes through the engaging projection to extend to the one end part of the lens barrel and that the other end passes through the ring screw to extend to the other end part of the lens barrel; and a light guide rod holding means RH that is equipped with a plurality of support rings HR for elastically supporting the light guide rod at a spaced position and with a spacer SP for prescribing the spaced position between the support rings, wherein the support ring is composed of a rigid ring part M and an ○ ring part ○ which, supported by the rigid ring part, holds the light guide rod, with one part annularly projected from the inner circumference, and that is held between the engaging projection in the lens barrel and the ring screw.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
