PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for removing chips from all working areas such as cutting surfaces, holes, particularly, screw holes without using a drive source separated from a machine tool.;SOLUTION: This auxiliary device attached to the rotating shaft of the machine tool for removing chips from a workpiece which is machined by the machine tool comprises a shank which is so disposed that the axis thereof is aligned with the axis of the rotating shaft and one end of which is attached to the rotating shaft rotated together with the rotating shaft; a blade assembly joined integrally to the shank and generating an air flow in the direction generally matching the direction of the shank from one end to the other when the shank is rotated; and a nozzle joined to the blade assembly for restricting the air flow.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
