The production of e.g. bioabsorbable surgical suture materials has glycolic acid units incorporated in polyamides derived from omega amino acids, for preparation of regular-sequence polyester amides and of copolymers with a statistical distribution of their units. Also claimed is a process using the materials. CLAIMED PROCESS - The process employs the copolymers as suturing and covering materials.
