PROCESS FOR OBTAINING AND BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS OF POLYESTERAMIDES DERIVED FROM GLYCOLIC ACID AND OMEGA-AMINO ACIDS. METHOD FOR THE INCORPORATION OF GLICOLIC ACID UNITS IN POLYAMIDS DERIVED FROM DIAMINES AND DICARBOXYL ACIDS.
Process for obtaining, and biomedical applications of polyesteramides derived from glycolic acid and omega-amino acids. The invention relates to a new process for the incorporation of glycolic acid units in polyamides derived from omega-amino acids. Both the preparation of regular sequence polyesteramides whose units consist of a glycolic acid residue and another of an {oe} -amino acid: ** FIGURE 01 ** and the preparation of copolymers with a statistical distribution of the units described above and other glycolic acid: ** FIGURE 02 ** In both cases n varies from 3 to 12 and in the statistical copolymer the ratio a / b does it from 0.95 to 0.05. In the case of statistical copolymers, the applications of these materials are also considered as bioabsorbable surgical sutures or as coatings therefor.
