The present invention relates to a hot melt binder based on asphalt or bitumen comprising at least one additive for lowering the temperature of manufacture of the asphaltic product relative to that of the base product, said additive being triglyceride of saturated fatty acids. The present invention also relates to processes for preparing an asphalt product or bituminous mix in which the mixing temperature is lowered. The present invention finally relates to an asphaltic product or bituminous mix comprising a hot melt binder according to the invention.
