PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amount of water confirmation device, an amount of water control system, and a water saving support method for giving a user specific suggestions in accordance with actual situation of water use and urging the user to save water. PSOLUTION: In this water saving support method, amount of water used in the past in the predetermined measurement position of facility is specified (S1), a reference pattern is set based on it (S2), then rate of flow of water in the predetermined period of time is specified (S3-S5), a water use pattern in the period is decided (S6), and then the water use pattern is compared with the reference pattern (S7) to inform the user of the result of comparison (S8).
