Provided is a technique of facilitating the design of a proper distribution system.A distribution system design support device, in response to a request for expected contents, acquires distribution loads on the distribution system resulting from the distribution of the contents for the respective contents as content loads, classifies a plurality of the contents into a plurality of classes according to the values of the content loads, calculates the probabilities at which the contents belonging to the classes are assigned to devices as assigned probabilities for the respective classes, acquires the number of contents to be assigned to the devices, calculates a plurality of distribution loads which can occur in the devices as device loads when the contents of the number of contents are assigned to the devices according to class values which are the distribution loads representing the classes, calculates the probabilities at which the respective device loads occur as occurrence probabilities on the basis of the assigned probabilities, and determines whether or not the cumulative value of an occurrence probability at which a device load becomes not less than a predetermined threshold out of the occurrence probabilities is within a predetermined range.
