Electrical connection assembly (33), comprising a flat cable (10, 20) having a plurality of ribbon conductors (15; 25), a connector (34) for connecting the ribbon cable to a base (32) , comprising fixing means (36, 38) by means of which the cable is fixed to the connector. The cable (10,20) has a conductor connecting portion (56,156,256), wherein said conductors are stripped to allow them to contact corresponding contacts (61,63) of the base. In addition, said fixing means comprise a retaining tab (42) on which the cable is folded. This connection assembly ensures a reliable connection of the flat cable with the base.
