The commonly used Transfer Impedance, Z_T, measurement methods forrnshielded cables and connectors for high voltage applications in Electric and Hybrid ElectricrnVehicles might be difficult to handle and reproducibility might be low. Alternative methodsrnto measure Z_T are required. In this article, the methods, Ground Plate Method and CapacitivernVoltage Probe Method are introduced. The methods do not require special setups andrncan handle even large cable-connector systems. Performance has been investigated by comparisonsrnto Z_T measurements using well established methods, i.e. Triaxial- and Line-rnInjection-Method. Performance and limitations of the proposed methods for both cable andrncable-connector systems are discussed. Measurement results were compared to analyticalrnformulas for Z_T. It could have been shown that accuracy of proposed, easier to apply andrnmore flexible alternative methods is in the same range as Triaxial- and Line-Injection-rnMethod.
