PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silicone compound having excellent emulsifying ability to various oily materials such as a silicone oil, and to obtain a cosmetic having emulsion stability and transparency together with refreshed feeling after use.;SOLUTION: This branched silicone-type polyether-modified silicone compound is obtained by an addition reaction of a branched silicone-type organohydrogensilicone compound obtained by polymerizing silicone compounds (i), (ii) and/or (iii) with a same or different species of organic compound selected from organic compounds as expressed by general formulae (3) and (4) where (i) is a silicone compound comprising [R13SiO1/2]a unit and [R1SiO3/2]b unit where b/a is 0.3 to 1.5, (ii) is a cyclic silicone compound expressed by an average composition formula (1) (where c is an integer of 3 to 10), (iii) is a silicone compound expressed by an average composition formula (2) (where d is an integer of 0 to 100).
