A Nucleic Acid IMI (imidazolinone) isolated, recombinant or Synthetic mutagenized, comprising a polynucleotide sequence of a Nucleic Acid imi1 of Triticum aestivum,Where the polynucleotide Sequence encoding a polypeptide comprising an IMI mutation in Domain C that results in a substitution of alanine to threonine in the IML compared with Protein a polypeptide (hidroxiacu00e9tico Acid Synthase AHAs) of Triticum aestivum and wild type N where the polypeptide IMI confers tolerance to imidazolinone increased to a Plant, Plant Cell,Part of Plant, Plant Seed or Plant Tissue when expressed there, compared to that conferred by polypeptide AHAs.
