PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for making a snack are provided to conveniently apply syrup on the external surface of a chip for snack and promptly drying the syrup to implement various kinds of tastes.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for making a snack comprises a storage unit(110), an applying unit, a drying unit(130) and a body frame(140). The storage unit includes a syrup container(111) and a first heating unit. The upper opening portion of the syrup can be covered by a cover member(112) having a handle(112a), and the syrup container has on the external edge portion thereof a holder coupled to a fastening member(113a). A cut portion(112b) is formed at one side of the cover member, and the applying unit includes a mixing container(121), a motor member(124) and a second heating unit. The drying unit contains a drying container(131) and an air supply unit.
