PURPOSE: An oil-leakage preventing facility for a ship is provided to rapidly block oil from leaking during a marine contamination accident since the same equipment is installed over the entire facility for storing oil.;CONSTITUTION: An oil-leakage preventing facility for a ship comprises an air pipe(12), a salt sensor(10a), a first shut-off valve(14), and a control unit(24). The air pipe transfers atmosphere with an oil tank(10). The salt sensor is installed in the oil tank and detects the inflow of sea water in real time. The first shut-off valve is installed on the air pipe and controls the flow of the oil tank and the atmosphere. The control unit detects the inflow of seawater from the salt sensor and blocks the first shut-off valve. An overflow tank(18) is connected to the oil tank through an overflow pipe(16). A transfer pump(20) is installed on the overflow pipe and discharges oil from the oil tank to the overflow tank. A second shut-off valve is installed on the overflow pipe.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
