PURPOSE: An alternative material for estrogen derived from a natural product isolated from silkworm pupa is provided to use as various uses of medicinal product, health food, and health supplementary food. CONSTITUTION: An alternative material for estrogen contains material from silkworm pupa extract isolated in water at room temperature. The material is fractioned through Dowex 50W-8X(H+) column, washed with distilled water, and freeze-dried. The estrogen additive material contains 50mg-400mg/kg/d of isolated material. A functional food contains the alternative material for estrogen.
