It is a regulatory gene that is shown in any of the following (A) and (B) and controls at least one of sugar metabolism, lipid metabolism, obesity, and life span. (A) DNA consisting of the base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1. (B) DNA that hybridizes under stringent conditions with DNA consisting of the base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and any of the complementary strands of the DNA.
