The aim of the invention is to decouple the low-voltage charging source and the electric drive thereof from the high voltage occurring in a Marx generator when transferring from a parallel connection to a serial connection of a capacitor battery. The high-voltage cable used on the outlet side, wherein the conductive core is surrounded by a semi-conductor for adapting the potential, is also used on the inlet side, and is also used for decoupling the high-voltage after removing the current-conducting core. As a result, only the semi-conductor in the high-voltage cable remains as a resistance line for the low charging current in the parallel connection of the capacitor battery of the Marx generator.
