The present invention relates to a method of forming an electrode of an electric power generation device using self-generated electricity of the electric power generation device. The method of forming the electrode of the electric power generation device includes a first step of immersing a substrate of the electric power generation device, which generates electron-hole pairs when energy is applied, into a plating solution; a second step of transmitting energy by changing an energy transmitting condition required when the electric power generation device generates the electricity; and a third step of plating with the self-generated electricity of the electric power generation device to form the electrode of the electric power generation device. Since a seed metal is not necessary, different from the conventional electrode forming method of a solar cell or the like using a light induced plating process, process time and costs can be shortened. The characteristic of the electric power generation device is improved by the simplified process. In addition, since the light source transmitting condition to generate the electricity is changed to adjust characteristics, such as plating speed, density and structure of the plating electrode, thereby forming the high quality electrode suitable for the characteristic of the electric power generation device to be used.
