Then the Japanese horseradish is gradually cut by a cutting machine so as to have the width dimension of approximately 3 mm to 6 mm inclusive in one direction (step S7). The acquired belt-shaped pieces of the Japanese horseradish are aligned in the longitudinal direction respectively (step S8), and then they are cut by the cutting machine again so as to have the width of approximately 3 mm to 6 mm inclusive in a direction crossing to the cutting direction (step S9).
