PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating collision safety for a railroad vehicle with more accuracy.SOLUTION: A collision safety evaluation method for the railroad vehicle is a method for evaluating safety when a passenger in a railway vehicle makes a secondary collision to an in-vehicle facility in front due to a primary collision of the railroad vehicle in the railroad vehicle provided with a bench. This method includes an integration step S3 for calculating time integration value of deceleration in a vehicle body in the primary collision of the railroad vehicle and a safety evaluation value calculation step S4 for calculating the safety evaluation value when the passenger makes a secondary collision from time integrated value calculated at the integration step S3.
