The present invention discloses an auto-tiering apparatus and an auto-tiering method using a high speed semiconductor storage device. According to one embodiment, the present invention discloses the auto-tiering apparatus using the high speed semiconductor storage device, including: a central processing unit (CPU) including an auto-tiering engine; a network interface connected to the CPU; a main memory connected to the CPU; and a storage device including a first tier, a second tier, and a third tier which are connected to the CPU. The auto-tiering engine of the CPU stores data stored in the main memory into one of the first tier, the second tier, and the third tier according to frequency of reading and writing operation on the data.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
