The present invention relates to a method for culturing Ganoderma lucidum mycelia having an enhanced skin whitening function by enhancing the content of ganodermanondiol, which is a melanin biosynthesis inhibitor. Media for culturing Ganoderma lucidum mycelia comprise a Hovenia dulcis THUNB. extract for increasing the ganodermanondiol content contained in the Ganoderma lucidum mycelia.
