PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for passivation layer formation for a solar battery, which is superior in the capability of being applied and high in the capability of being densified.SOLUTION: A composition for passivation layer formation comprises: an aluminum compound represented by the formula (I); a titanium compound represented by RTi(OR); and a silicon compound. In the formula (I), Xand Xrepresent an oxygen atom or a methylene group. In the titanium compound, R represents an alkyl group or an aryl group, and Rrepresents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, or a chelate group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
