Crane and crane counterweight position adjustment method

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane capable of adjusting the position of a counter weight in a state of keeping the length of a guyline constant while suppressing an increase in cost, and a position adjustment method of the counter weight of the crane.SOLUTION: A crane X1 comprises: a mast 41; an elastic member 8 that can extend and contract so as to change a separation distance between a machine body and a counter weight 71; a drive control unit for controlling drive of the mast 41 and the elastic member 8; a mast rising/lowering prohibition unit for transmitting a signal to the drive control unit so as to prohibit the mast 41 from rising and lowering in a state in which an inclination angle of the mast 41 is within a set angle range corresponding to the separation distance; and a mast rising/lowering allowance unit for canceling the prohibition of the rising and lowering of the mast 41 by the drive control unit when operated by the operation unit. The drive control unit raises and lowers the mast 41 so that the counter weight 71 can move in an extending/contracting direction of the elastic member 8 while a guyline 73 is stretched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
