The present invention relates to a novel Salmonella typhimurium strain, and a vaccine composition for preventing infection by Salmonella typhimurium comprising the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a Salmonella typhimurium strain ST26 applied by accession number KCTC13198BP, a vaccine composition for preventing infection by Salmonella typhimurium comprising the same, a method for producing the vaccine composition, and a method for preventing infection by Salmonella typhimurium by injecting the vaccine composition into an individual. The novel Salmonella typhimurium strain of the present invention isolated from poultry is a highly pathogenic strain and shows high safety, immunogenicity and defense ability. Thus, the vaccine composition comprising the novel Salmonella typhimurium strain of the present invention is useful not only for the production stability in poultry farms but also for the prevention of infection by Salmonella typhimurium in human.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
