Purified VI antigen, acetic anhydride-treated Salmonella typhosa endotoxin, and potassium methylate-treated S. typhosa endotoxin employed as vaccines in Swiss white mice failed to protect these animals against challenge with a virulent S. typhimurium hybrid expressing S. typhosa antigens. (Author)
