PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a worker to efficiently use a proper cart in a processing plant in which plural process machines are installed.SOLUTION: A cart operation system operates plural carts, which transport materials, parts, or products relating to processing, within a processing plant in which plural process machines are installed. The cart operation system includes cart operation display devices mounted on the respective carts in order to display an indication relevant to cart operation for a worker, and a production management device that produces a cart management signal which helps a worker to use a proper cart according to motions of process machines based on processing programs of the plural process machines in the processing plant. The production management device transmits the cart management signal to the cart operation display device, and the cart operation display device lights an indicator or displays an indication on the basis of the cart management signal. Accordingly, a worker looks at the indicator and can use and operate a proper cart.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
