Board producer Cartiere Fornaci acquires business operations of Cartiera di Momo

The Momo board mill in the Northern Italian province of Novara has resumed operation. Italian board producer Cartiera Fornaci acquired the business operations of the insolvent Cartiera di Momo at the end of February and has reportedly started to operate the mill to capacity following several trial runs. The newly founded company FM Cartiere has taken over the business operations of Cartiera di Momo and mill employees, initially for a limited period, a company spokesman informed. The Momo mill hosts one board machine capable of producing 80,000 tpy of recycled car-tonboard. FM Cartiere's product portfolio is the same than its predecessor's Cartiere di Momo and comprises GD and GT board qualities, the company informed.
