The invention relates to a circuit assembly (1) for electrically connecting a lighting unit (10) of a headlight for a vehicle, comprising a controller (11) which is connected to a power supply (12). The lighting unit (10) has at least one semiconductor lighting means (13) and a temperature measuring means (14), wherein the semiconductor lighting means (13) has a cathode (15), the temperature measuring means (14) has a cathode (16), and the lighting unit (10) comprises a potential compensating contact (17). According to the invention, the cathodes (15, 16) are electrically connected together in the lighting unit (10) and/or at least one of the cathodes (15, 16) is electrically connected to the potential compensating contact (17) in the lighting unit (10).
