A gate shift register and an organic light emitting diode display including the same are disclosed. The gate shift register includes first and second stages, STGn, STGn+1, that output image display gate pulses during a writing period and selectively output a sensing gate pulse in a vertical blanking interval. The first stage includes nodes Q1, Qbo and M and a first sensing control block, BK1a, which activates Q1 in accordance with the voltage of M and a global reset signal. The first stage also includes a second sensing control block, BK1b, which deactivates Qbo in accordance with the voltage of M and the global reset signal. The second stage includes nodes Q2 and Qbe and a third sensing control block, BK1a, which activates Q2 in accordance with the voltage of M and the global reset signal. The second stage also includes a fourth sensing control block, BK1b, which deactivates Qbe in accordance with the voltage of M and the global reset signal. The first stage and the second stage share part of a drive circuit configuration with each other.
