Note on the Approximation of Distribution on Z+ by Mixture of Negative BinomialDistributions

It is shown that distributions on Z(sub +) that can be approximated by mixturesof negative binomial distributions, are precisely the so-called Poisson mixtures, i.e. mixtures of Poisson distributions.
