The system (1) has a sensor device (4) for evaluation of negotiableness of a bank note (20). A distribution device (5) is provided for distributing the evaluated bank note as negotiable on a distribution pathway. The distribution device distributes a non-negotiable bank note on another distribution pathway based on a material of the bank note. A set of shredder devices is arranged in the latter distribution pathway.
