Surface Infrastructure: Review of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan211 Transportation Authority's Restructuring Plan

To prepare this report, we met with MTA officials and collected pertinent211u001edocuments from those officials. We reviewed MTA's restructuring plan and 211u001esupporting financial documentation and discussed costs, financing, and issues 211u001erelated to the consent decree with officials at MTA in Los Angeles; Hill 211u001eInternational, Inc., in Los Angeles; the city of Los Angeles; the Bus Riders 211u001eUnion in Los Angeles; and the California Transportation Commision in Sacremento. 211u001eWe performed our work from April through July 1998 in accordance with generally 211u001eaccepted government auditing standards.
