In order to improve the accuracy of thermodynamical calculations of carbo-nitride211u001eprecipitation in microalloyed steels a consistent Thermo-Calc database for the 211u001ethermodynamic properties of HSLA steels has been developed at the Swedish 211u001eInstitute for Metals Research in cooperation with the Royal Institute of 211u001eTechnology and Swedish Steel Corporation (SSAB). This database is based on the 211u001eregular solution model for multicomponent systems and is designed for HSLA steels 211u001econtaining the following elements: Fe, C, S, p, Si, Mn, Cr, Ni, Mo, N, Nb, V, Ti, 211u001eB, and O. The present report describes the thermodynamic properties of the 211u001efollowing systems: Fe-Ti-C-N; Fe-Mn-S-Ti-C-n; Fe-Al-B-N; Fe-Nb-C-N; Fe-Mn-Si-Nb-C-211u001eN; and Fe-V-C-n.
