MSSTUDY II Finland is part of a multinational study for assessing the development211u001eof the markets for electronic information services (EIS) in the European Economic 211u001eArea (EEA). The study which was initiated within the European Commission's 211u001eINFO2000 program was carried out in 1988-1999 in sixteen states of the EEA. The 211u001ereference year was 1997. The study covered: the supply of electronic information 211u001eservices (online and offline) for professional purposes in Finland, the demand 211u001efor electronic services by households (usage and intensity of electronic 211u001eservices), description of the business environment, a survey on national experts' 211u001eviews about future trends of the markets and a best practice case of the regional 211u001einformation services network in Kuusamo.
