A Technical Program was initiated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAS)211u001eWilliam J. Hughes Technical Center to measure the distances that aircraft fly 211u001ewithin high-intensity radiation emitters. This program was launched as the FAA 211u001eand the High-Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) advisory committees were defining 211u001eHIRF regulatory rulemaking requirements. This study was a follow-on of the work 211u001econducted at the Denver International Airport to determine the actual distances 211u001ethat aircraft flew within emitters.
