It provides information on the following: trends and growth in the 211u001enumber of female inmates populations; statistics on female inmate 211u001echaracteristics, including age, race, most serious offense, drug use, etc.; 211u001enumber of correctional facilities for female inmate; correctional policies, 211u001eclassification systems, and education/job training programs; health care; abuse 211u001etreatment services; and rates of mental illness and human immunodeficiency virus 211u001e(HIV) infection among female inmates.
