摘要

Subjects were asked to learn 20 word passages of either a third or a seventh order approximation to the English language, and in each ease some wore subjected to an interfering teak. Recalls were obtained prior to these interpolated teaks as well as following them. The major results were:n1. Forgetting occurred in all groups as measured by delayed re¬call, and while interference groups forgot more then control groups the differences were not significant.n2. The initial recall scores for Order 3 and Order 7 ware ouch lover than those reported by Millar and Selfridge, and evidence is advanced suggesting that their results are confounded by practice effects.n3. More changes were introduced in the recalls of Order 7 than in these for Order 3.
