STRAIN-HARDENING AND STRAIN-RATE EFFECTS IN THE IMPACT LOADING OF CANTILEVER BEAMS

摘要

The problem of impact loading of a cantilever beam which exhibits either strain-hardening or strain-rate sensitivity is considered. In addition, numerical results are presented for the predicted plastic strains and strain-rates within the beam.
