摘要

The analytical framework for applying Kalman-Bucy filtering to dispersion in a coastal water body is developed. Particular emphasis is placed on quantification of the model uncertainty due to model parameters,source loadings,and velocity fields. The formulation is discretized with the Finite Element Method,and a number of comparison studies are presented.
