Data Collection: The Achilles Heel of Evaluation Research

摘要

The study sought to provide information which would help to improve methods for data collection in health and other program evaluations. Published and working documents from nine major evaluations were examined. After examining the documents provided by the investigators, project members who worked on those evaluations were telephoned in order to clarify and expand on the available information. Also, more than 100 evaluations that were published in six journals, over a three-year period, were examined.
