Conference Report on Geriatric Education - New Knowledge, New Settings, New Curricula, June 2-4, 1986

摘要

The conference in June 1986 on geriatric education for health professionals was aimed at stimulating more effective and comprehensive education and training of clinicians and others in this challenging field of practice. The conference focused on three specific issues: (1) the educational implications of advances in the biomedical and behavioral sciences affecting the care of the elderly; (2) the more effective utilization in educational programs of nontraditional clinical settings, such as nursing homes, assessment units, and ambulatory care clinics; and (3) the content of new curricula for geriatric education in various health professional schools.
