Management and Assessment of Interdisciplinary Training and Research: An Overview and Annotated Bibliography

摘要

The report on the organization, management and requirements of interdisciplinary training and research and the annotated bibliography on the current literature is part of a series of studies conducted by Unesco, within the framework of its program in higher education and research executed jointly by the Divisions of Higher Education and Training of Educational Personnel and of Scientific Research and Higher Education. The main target of these actions is to contribute to the strengthening, development and better management of national projects and infrastructures, as well as to provide national policy-makers and institutions of higher education with a methodological instrument for the better integration of the interdisciplinary training and research activities in their respective countries. The two-fold process of change, first, in establishments of higher education as institutions and, second, in acquiring scientific and technological knowledge, is under way and continues to gather speed.
