摘要

A comprehensive experimental study of the buckling behavior of aluminum sandwich panels with an aluminum honeycomb core was carried out. Four identical panels were built together into a test box with a square cross section which was subjected to an axial force in combination with an internal pressure and a tor¬sional moment. The boundary conditions that were simulated were either nearly clamped or nearly simply supported edges. During the tests strains were measured by use of resistance strain gauges and the lateral displacements by use of mechanical dial gauges. Buckling and collapse loads were measured and results from 16 tests are presented. In most cases collapse occurred at a skin stress higher than the yield point of the material.
