Organizacoes de Intermediacao Em Transferencia de Technologia: Seu Papel NA Inovacao Technologica (Organizations of Intermediation in Technology Transfer: Its Role in Technological Innovation)

摘要

The role and the modus operandi of some organizations supposed to promote the approximation between the productive sector and the research institutions in Brazil are analyzed. The first part of the work is a survey of the literature on the process of technological innovation and on the relationship between the research institutes and the productive sector. The second section is a field study that gathered data and information about the objectives, structure, ways and areas of activity, main sources of funding, relationsips with other institutes, and barriers to action of six of those organizations. The chosen organizations are Cia. de Desenvolvimento Technologico S/A (CODETEC), Cia. de Promocao da Pesquisa Cientifica e Tecnologica do Estado de Sao Paulo (PROMOCET), Fundacao para o Desenvolvimento Tecnologico da Engenharia (FDTE), Fundacao de Ciencia, Aplicacores e Technologia Espaciaia (FUNCATE), Fundacao E.J. Zerbini (FEJZ), and Fundacao Padre Leonel Franca (FPLF). The study reached some interesting conclusions, among which the recognition of the usefulness of those organizations and of the existence of a legitimate space they may and should occupy deserve special mention.
