Back Action Evasion strategies of measurement are introduced. A technique for the treatment of the parametric transducer is discussed. A perturbative approach is used in the computation of the equation of the motion of a parametric transducer under resonance forcing terms. The concept of optimal pumping spectrum and the general framework in which this concept can be fully developed are outlined. It is shown that the stroboscopic measurement scheme may be considered as a by-product of the search for an optimal pumping spectrum having an infinite number of pumps.
