摘要

Comparison of alternative methods of sentencestructure determination can take one method as a base and show the changes required to convert it into another. Basic principles of the RAND method include (i) isolation of grammatic detail from the structure of the computer program and (ii) postulation of a certain word-order rule. Technical variations in the order of establishment of connections and the procedure used for testing agreement could make the RAND method more similar to others now in use,and might improve its accuracy. Restructuring and the use of context are noted as additional types of variation. (Author)
